While it’s painfully clear that shampoo bars can help save the 🌎 without taking anything away from your shampoo ritual, it’s also true that 98% of British consumers have never tried a shampoo bar. That’s not surprising when you consider shampoo brands spend millions of pounds on advertising every year.

And while all this is happening, every day we’re getting one step closer to our planet dying.

We realised we needed to take action now. If we believe in the product we should be willing to give the first bar away for free. So that’s exactly what we did.

Change is hard

We get it, you’ve been using liquid shampoo your whole life. This bar has the same cleaning properties of a shampoo. The only difference is that because it’s in bar form it doesn’t need a giant, land-fill-clogging plastic bottle. 

And also, we don’t use any nasty chemicals. See, shampoo companies have no choice but to churn out millions of bottles every month (they have impatient shareholders). If we had that level of pressure we would find it challenging too. But we’re not interested in ever dealing with that degree of pressure. We’re perfectly happy staying small if that means our 🌎 remains livable.

We change habits when we learn new things. For example, purchases of white bread have dropped 75% since 1974, while those of brown and wholemeal bread have risen by 85%. Once we realised that white bread wasn’t what we thought it was, we changed habits.

A phenomenon is taking hold

We now understand why big brand names don’t do what we’re doing.

We cannot rest. We are constantly innovating and improving the formulations we use. We may be the best today but the goal is to remain the best 5 years from now.
