Trees – we literally can’t live without them! They provide us with oxygen, food and the raw materials for many of the things we use on a daily basis.
As if this wasn’t enough, they also create ecosystems for life to flourish in, and rid the air of pollutants. These two factors alone make trees a crucial defence against climate change. In short, they’re quite… TREEmendous (he) .
To do our bit for these leafy lords of the planet, back in 2021 we teamed up with Ecologi. Ecologi is a charitable organisation that uses funding from grüum and other companies like us to plant trees and protect forests. They also fund and develop a variety of renewable energy projects around the world, in places that need them the most.
Ecologi as a whole has so far funded the planting of 60.2 million trees, and has prevented 2.5 million tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. UnbeLEAFable.

So far, our funding has led to…
🌳 The planting of 3,270 trees in various locations around the world!
🌳 The protection of over 400,000 hectares of forest land including… on the pacific coast of Columbia, lowland peat forest in Indonesia, forest in the democratic republic of Congo, and even Amazonian Rainforest in both Brazil and Peru.
🌳 The creation of wind powered renewable energy projects in Mexico, Thailand, South Africa, Honduras, Vietnam, Bulgaria and India.
🌳 The creation of solar energy projects in Vietnam, India and Egypt.
🌳 Various other environmental projects including… hydropower in India, high efficiency cookstoves in Tanzania and Kenya, using waste biogas and biomass for energy in Turkey, India, Brazil and Chile, and even improving the efficiency of the metro transport in india.
Overall, our funding so far has prevented an estimated 239.1 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, and it’s all thanks to people like you supporting businesses like us!
